Midnight Academy
It was dark, clouds covered the sky. I was scared, and icy shiver ran down my body. I started toward the lake. My legs hit the icy water and the shock of it woke me out of my dreamlike state. I heard leaves crunching, like pages being torn out of a book. I turn around; there he was, watching me.
Something was off about his gaze it felt cold, distant, lifeless. I started to walk away from him. But he got closer and I couldn’t help my reaction to him. Now I could see him better, my eyes adjusting to the dark.
He touched my cheek roughly and my eyes widened this wasn’t him. He pulled me towards him, and I tried to fight him off. I struggled but he was stronger much stronger than me. Why? Why is this happening to me? I thought. Tears stung my eyes and I whispered “Let me go...Michael. “
His eyes widened in surprise, he didn’t know that I knew who he was. He pulled me closer and I instantly felt his lips on my neck. I felt a piercing sting, like two needled trying to break skin, and tensed. I heard the words “Goodbye...my brothers only...” then my vision blurred and my body fell limp against him, falling deeper and deeper into the darkness...
